What should I expect at my first Hi, skin appointment?

Your first visit begins with a consultation with your esthetician to understand your skin goals, followed by a customized treatment. Your esthetician will guide you through each step, recommend booster enhancements if appropriate, and share at-home care tips so you leave refreshed, confident, and ready to take on the day. Hi, skin studios are open-concept spaces, designed to feel modern, welcoming, and community-driven while still prioritizing your comfort. 

Arrival Timing

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early to allow time for check-in. New clients may need a few extra minutes to complete intake paperwork before their appointment begins. If you’re running late, please call the studio as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you. Late arrivals may result in a shortened service or rescheduling of your appointment in order to stay on schedule.

Is there anything I should avoid before my appointment?

We recommend avoiding exfoliating products like scrubs, acids, or retinoids for at least 2–4 days before your appointment. Please skip waxing, threading, and laser treatments on the face for 5–7 days prior, and avoid Botox or dermal fillers for at least 2 weeks beforehand. If you have recently used exfoliators, don’t worry — we will not turn you away. Let us know at check-in so we can adjust your treatment as needed. If you’re using prescription skincare or have recently had any cosmetic treatments, please contact us ahead of your appointment so we can best guide you, customize your service for optimal results, and avoid any disruptions to your experience.

Downtime Expectations

Is there downtime after treatments?

Downtime varies by service. The Really Good Facial™ has little to no downtime, while chemical peels and microneedling may involve temporary redness, flaking, or sensitivity. With any exfoliating treatment, some clients may also experience purging as the skin cycles and clear congestion. Your esthetician will review expected downtime, aftercare, and what to expect based on your treatment.

How does your membership work?

The Really Good Membership is designed to make consistent, results-driven skincare easy. Starting at $119/per month, members receive one Really Good Facial™ each month, plus access to member-exclusive services, including The Mini (30 min) and Face FORM (30 min). Additional benefits include: one free booster each quarter, $20 off all booster, 10% off all product purchase, member pricing on add-ons, and early access to events and product drops. It’s our most popular option for maintaining healthy skin year-round.

Can I pause or cancel my membership at any time?

The Really Good Membership has a 3-month minimum commitment, which includes three monthly facials and allows enough time for your skin to adjust and show meaningful results. After the initial commitment period, memberships continue on a month-to-month basis and can be managed with the help of your local studio team.

What if I don't want a membership?

No problem! For clients who prefer flexibility, we also offer treatment packages for The Really Good Facial™, chemical peels, and microneedling. Packages allow you to pre-purchase multiple sessions at a preferred rate without a monthly commitment. Your esthetician and local studio team can help you decide whether a membership or package makes the most sense for your skin goals.

How do I know if a chemical peel is right for my skin?

Chemical peels are professional, results-driven treatments designed to improve skin tone, texture, and clarity. During your visit, your esthetician will assess your skin, review your history, and discuss your goals to determine the most appropriate peel for you. While our peels are safe for first-time clients, we often recommend starting with The Really Good Facial™ to establish a baseline and properly prep the skin before progressing to peels. This personalized, consultative approach helps ensure safe, effective results tailored to your skin’s needs.

Are boosters added as extra time to my appointment?

No! All boosters are seamlessly incorporated into your scheduled service time. When you add a booster (like dermaplaning) to The Really Good Facial™, it enhances your treatment without extending the length of your appointment. Your esthetician is trained to deliver effective, results-driven treatments while maximizing your time in the studio.

How often should I get a treatment?

Most clients see the best results with monthly treatments, which aligns perfectly with our membership model. Treatment frequency depends on the service you choose and your individual skin goals. The Really Good Facial™ is designed to be enjoyed monthly and is ideal for targeting breakouts, fine lines & more for visibly healthier skin. Chemical peels and microneedling are typically scheduled as a series or spaced out over time for best results. Your esthetician will guide you on the ideal cadence for your skin and help create a plan that supports both immediate results and long-term skin health.

What type of enhancements do you offer?

We offer a variety of boosters and enhancements, like dermaplaning, exfoliation upgrades, hydration boosts, and technology add-ons that can be seamlessly incorporated into your facial. Your esthetician will guide you on what makes the most sense for your skin.

Can I get a treatment while pregnant or nursing?

Yes! Many of our treatments are pregnancy- and nursing-safe. We’ll always customize your service and avoid ingredients or modalities that aren’t recommended. Please let us know if you’re pregnant or nursing when booking so we can plan accordingly. We always recommend consulting with your doctor prior to an appointment.

Can I get a treatment after having botox or other skin procedures done?

In most cases, yes, but timing matters. We recommend waiting at least 14 days after injectables before receiving a facial, depending on the treatment. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out or ask your provider, and we’re happy to help guide you.

How do I book a treatment?

You can book directly through our website by selecting your preferred location, service, and time. If you need help, our studio teams are always happy to assist, feel free to give your location a call!

Why do you need my credit card before my appointment?

We require a credit card to hold your appointment time and protect our estheticians’ schedules. You won’t be charged until your visit is completed unless you cancel late or no-show, which may result in a $25 fee.

Can I book a treatment for a group?

Yes! Group bookings are available for special occasions or events. Please reach out to your local studio directly so we can help coordinate timing and services.

What payment methods do you accept?

We are cashless! We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as mobile payments. All credit card transactions will include a 3% convenience fee. Debit cards are fee-free!

What is the cancellation policy for facials?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule services. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a $25 fee.

What is your return policy?

Unopened and unused products may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Lightly used products may be returned within 14 days of purchase for studio credit only.
